Chief Executive
Bobby has been a Board Member of APPC since 2005 and up to February 2009, was the Executive Director of TeamEnergy Foundation Philippines, the corporate citizenship arm of one of the largest energy providers in the country. He continues to be an active member of the League of Corporate Foundations where he led several successful campaigns in promoting philanthropy in Philippine corporations. He had also recently held post in the board of advisers to the Asian Institute of Management-TeamEnergy Center for Bridging Societal Divides. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Philippine Business for Social Progress, a private foundation established in 1970 by some of the country's successful business leaders. Bobby was a fellow of the Synergos Institute from 2001 - 2003.
Bobby will lead APPC's programs, services and communications during the period of the Strategic Review, as APPC crafts a new direction that is consistent with the growth of philanthropy in Asia and the Pacific.
Jeanette Bandiola
Finance and Administration Officer
Jeanette carries out the financial functions and provides administrative support to APPC by ensuring the efficient and effective management of our financial resources. Her responsibilities include instituting financial systems and policies; providing guidance on strategic financial management and carrying out regular accounting activities.
She has previously served as the accounting manager of a for-profit organization specializing in medical transcriptions. She also comes with over ten years of experience in the public sector, having served as a consultant and finance officer with the Department of Education and the Philippine Senate, respectively, both under the office of the late Senator Raul S. Roco.
Alessandra Maria Fererria-Mercado
Program Officer
Alexie handles our research program as well as our projects on diaspora, individual and family philanthropy. Her areas of responsibility are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sinagpore and Australia.
She has previously worked with the Ayala Foundation in the Philippines, handling youth and work-life balance projects. She holds a Master in International Relations from the University of Kent/Brussels School for International Studies and is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the Ateneo de Manila University.
